What happens to files that are in use when RJL System Cleaner tries...
If a file is locked or in use by another program, RJL System Cleaner simply skips it and moves on to the next file. The app will never:
- Show an error dialog for a single locked file
- Stop the entire clean operation because one file could not be deleted
- Force-close another program to delete its files (unless you explicitly choose to close a browser)
- Schedule the file for deletion on next reboot
After cleaning, the summary screen shows how many files were skipped and why. The log file records the exact file path and reason for each skip.
This is especially common with browser cache files when a browser is running. For browsers specifically, the app detects running browser processes and warns you before attempting to clean their files.
